Role overview

The Business Manager – Mining is responsible for revenue growth and client development across SPARC's natural resource and infrastructure verticals in North America. The role leads business development activity from opportunity identification through contract execution, working in close coordination with technical and leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the business development strategy for natural resources and infrastructure across Canada and the United States.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through to contract closure.
  • Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align proposed solutions with client requirements.
  • Lead proposal development, commercial negotiations, and contracting activities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to inform strategy.

Qualifications & experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Mining, or a related discipline; MBA considered an asset.
  • Proven experience cultivating trusted relationships and partnerships within the North American mining ecosystem, contributing to business growth and market presence.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
