Technical Project Manager (GIS & GeoAI)

Role overview

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (5+ years experience) to lead the planning, design, and delivery of GIS and GeoAI-driven solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise along with project management capabilities to deliver scalable applications across domains such as Defence, Healthcare, Transportation, and GovTech. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to translate real-world problems into effective geospatial and digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle including requirement gathering, planning, execution, and delivery.
• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies.
• Design and oversee development of GIS, GeoAI, and web/mobile-based applications.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand business needs and provide technical solutions.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (GIS, AI, Web, Mobile) to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Support pre-sales activities, including solution design, technical proposals, and effort estimation.
• Ensure system scalability, performance, and maintainability of solutions.
• Drive innovation by adopting emerging technologies in GIS, GeoAI, and location intelligence.
• Actively contribute to hands-on development, including coding, architecture implementation, troubleshooting, and guiding best practices for GIS/GeoAI applications.

Required skills

• Strong experience in GIS, Remote Sensing, or GeoAI-based applications.
• Hands-on knowledge of mapping technologies such as OpenLayers, GeoServer, and OpenStreetMap.
• Understanding of web and mobile application development architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and microservices-based systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development and/or project management.
• Proven experience in delivering GIS-based, GovTech, or enterprise-scale applications.

Education

• B.Tech / BE in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
